On occasion, the ILCS has awarded the status of Honoured Membership to especially renowned researchers in the field. Click here for the current list. The Society seeks nominations for this award for 2008.

Nominees for Honoured Membership of the Society will normally be senior researchers who are still active in the field. Their contributions may be purely scientific, but preferably a combination of scientific work and service to the ILCS and the community (scientific and public). Nominees for Honoured Membership must be members of the International Liquid Crystal Society. There will be at most one Honoured Membership conferred at the biannual ILCC.

Nominations must reach the Chair of the Honours and Awards Committee no later than April 7th 2008. The Nominations should include a brief statement of the contribution of the nominee. Submit nominations to Dr. Helen Gleeson.
