Tenure-track Assistant Professor position at the Physics Institute of the University of São Paulo
The Physics Institute of the University of São Paulo is receiving applications for an Assistant Professor I position at the Department of Experimental physics in one of the areas “Quantum information, Complex Fluids and ultra-cold atoms, Experimental Physics”. The starting salary for the successful applicant will be R$ 8.715,12 (US$ 4,344.00).
For candidates in Complex Fluids, subjects of investigation may be related to liquid crystals, magnetic colloids, polymers, and biological systems by the use of optical techniques and X-ray scattering and diffraction.
The following materials are necessary for the application:
• Letter to the Physics Institute Director, applying for the selection process EDITAL IF-21/2013
• 10 copies of a career description and curriculum vitae, with publication list, research / teaching activities and any other relevant information
• 10 copies of a research proposal
• PhD certificate, valid in Brazil or recognized by the University of São Paulo. For certificates provided by non-Brazilian universities, the candidate should request the validation of the certificate
