Post-Doctorate in Complex Fluid Physics

Post-Doctorate in Complex Fluid Physics in Brazil, with São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) Scholarship The Complex Fluids group of the Institute of Physics, University of São Paulo, offers an opportunity for a postdoctoral fellowship (FAPESP), in the framework of the Thematic Project "Structural and biophysical properties of native and modified lipoproteins". Coordinated by Professor Antonio M. Figueiredo Neto, the project brings together researchers from different universities and specialties in São Paulo: physics, medicine, odontology and nutrition. The fellow will develop projects in the field of structural characterization of lipoproteins using X-ray scattering methods, linear and non-linear optical techniques. Candidate must have experience in non-linear optics techniques and/or small-angle X-ray scattering. In particular we are interested in the effects of the COVID-19 and diabetes mellitus on lipoproteins, structure and function. The study of lipoproteins presents a great interface with the physico-chemistry of lyotropic liquid crystals. Candidates should send an e-mail to (afigueiredo(at)if.usp.br) with his curriculum vitae (including a list of publications), a cover letter and a letter of recommendation. A distance interview will be held with the candidates.

Interested candidates should apply until 20 May 2022.
