New postdoctoral researcher position available

Postdoctoral Researcher

The State Key Laboratory on Advanced Displays and Optoelectronics Technologies (SKL) at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) seeks applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher in the area of photo-alignment of the liquid crystals and nano-crystals composites. The SKL carries out research in many areas of display and photonics. The Oxide thin film transistors (TFT) array technology; third generation organic LED (OLED) devices; liquid crystal display (LCD) devices; video signal processing; IC design; and frontier technologies are key research direction at SKL. The major task for the SKL is to develop energy-saving green displays.
This postdoctoral researcher will work with a multidisciplinary team of experimental and theoretical material scientists in the area of liquid crystal, photoalignment, and nano-materials. He will be involved in developing novel devices and test methods for testing new advanced materials for energy efficient displays and photonic applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research, writing scientific publications, and technical reports. The candidate is expected to have the basic understanding of the photo-luminescence and film passivation. The successful candidate should also have the basic understanding of the liquid crystals, the photo-alignment materials, and process for the liquid crystals. The candidate should have their Ph.D. at the time of taking up the appointment and are expected to have a proven record of research accomplishments.
Application procedure: The application should be sent electronically and should include PDF files listed below.
1. Cover letter including the statement of interest and suitability
2. CV including educational and research accomplishments with the complete list of publications
3. Two references letters.

Applications via the following email address: eeabhishek@ust.hk to Abhishek Srivastava.
